Steve is on a mission involving a test satellite. But Steve becomes a target when the satellite is needed to gain control of a missile to be sold to a foreign power.
The insight into space shuttle, the old footage is all interesting but on the whole the first twenty minutes wasn't engaging enough and the plot wasn't tightly compact. It was middling, however things cook up with some interest in the second half with a kidnapping, ransom - girl in exchange of wrecking the spaceship - and part one ends with some good tension and fine set-pieces within the shuttle. At least now there's a reason to watch part two.
