The best Treehouse of Horror in a long time!!!, 18 November 2006
10/10
Author: Tommy Nelson from Long Beach, California

Stars: Dan Castellaneta as Homer, Hans Moleman, Kang, Quimby, and others. Julie Kavner as Marge and Selma. Nancy Cartwright as Bart, Maggie and Ralph. Yeardley Smith as Lisa. Hank Azaria as Apu, Moe, Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum, Officer Lou, The Boss, Professor Frink and others. Harry Shearer as Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Dr. Hibbert, Officer Eddie, God, Herman, and others.

This Halloween special was so clever!! All three of the segments were very clever, and I think this was the funniest Halloween special since the 5th one.

Segment 1: The Ned Zone. Ned Flanders gets the power to see how people die by touching them in a parody of The Dead Zone. It was a great segment including my favorite Homer reading, "But ice cream cake!"

Segment 2: Four Beheadings and a Funeral. In a Sherlock Holmes parody, Lisa and Dr. Bartley try to solve the case of the muttonchop murderer. Though this segment has little to do with Halloween, it's still hilarious.

Segment 3: In the Belly of the Boss. Professor Frink accidentally shrinks Maggie and Mr. Burns eats her. The Simpsons have to make a fantastic voyage in to Mr. Burns to get her. The ending is quite similar to the end of the fifth Halloween special, but somehow fresh.

My overall rating: ****/****. 22 mins. TVPGV
