This Halloween special was so clever!! All three of the segments were very clever, and I think this was the funniest Halloween special since the 5th one.
Segment 1: The Ned Zone. Ned Flanders gets the power to see how people die by touching them in a parody of The Dead Zone. It was a great segment including my favorite Homer reading, "But ice cream cake!"
Segment 2: Four Beheadings and a Funeral. In a Sherlock Holmes parody, Lisa and Dr. Bartley try to solve the case of the muttonchop murderer. Though this segment has little to do with Halloween, it's still hilarious.
Segment 3: In the Belly of the Boss. Professor Frink accidentally shrinks Maggie and Mr. Burns eats her. The Simpsons have to make a fantastic voyage in to Mr. Burns to get her. The ending is quite similar to the end of the fifth Halloween special, but somehow fresh.
My overall rating: ****/****. 22 mins. TVPGV
