Quotes

Groundskeeper Willy: Yeah, I bought your mutt. And I 'ate him!
[raises a huge bone of meat]
Bart Simpson: [gasps]
Groundskeeper Willy: [tears meat off the bone] I 'ate his little face, I 'ate his guts, and I 'ate the way he's always barkin'!
[tosses a bone behind him]
Groundskeeper Willy: So, I gave him to the church.
Bart Simpson: [relieved] Ohh, I see. You *hate* him, so you gave him to the church.
Groundskeeper Willy: Aye. I also 'ate the mess he left on me rug!
[Bart turns around, stares at Willy]
Groundskeeper Willy: Ya heard me!

The Sweetest Episode of the Eighth Season,
20 May 2014 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

The Canine Mutiny is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. It is without a doubt one of the weakest episodes of the eight season, but it is also the sweetest and most emotional episode, revolving around Bart's relationship with Santa's Little Helper, any episode revolving around that is always a sweet one because Bart has shown without a doubt over the years that he cares about that dog more than he does any member of his family or friends. The episode also has one of my favourite quotes, and definitely my favourite Milhouse quote,I'm not going to write out the whole thing, but it's about a fish bowl ("why did I have the bowl?").The Canine Mutiny is certainly a weaker episode of the eight season, but it's still a really great Simpsons episode.

After Bart manages to obtain a credit card,he buys a bunch of really expensive things, including an outstanding and talented dog called Laddie. When all his credit card bought items are taken away from him,he pretends Santa's Little Helper is Laddie and he gets taken away instead of the new dog,a decision Bart soon regrets.
