Marge to the rescue
studioAT12 November 2017
Another Series 16 episode that sees Marge doubting herself, this time when Lisa starts idolising a woman Marge went to school with who has gone onto bigger and better things.

I liked again that the writers have taken time to flesh out Marge's character, and I thought it was great that she was the one (with a little help from Barney) who saved Lisa.

It's also good in my opinion that Homer's ridiculous antics happen sometimes in the background, rather than being the centre of every episode, and actually they are funnier in small doses.

Another fun episode.

A Hilarious and Satirical Episode of "The Simpsons" that stands out among modern episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
"She Used to Be My Girl" is an episode from the early modern seasons of "The Simpsons" that manages to stand out among the many episodes produced in that era. The episode is filled with comedic moments that are sure to make audiences laugh. One of the highlights of the episode is the fight between Marge and Chloe, which is set to the tense music of composer Alf Clausen. This scene perfectly captures the dramatic tension of the moment, and the music adds an extra layer of humor to the scene. Another funny moment in the episode is when Marge treats her black eye with an Irish bruise remedy, a clever nod to the stereotypical depiction of Irish people as being violent.

The episode also features a guest appearance by SpongeBob SquarePants in the closing credits, which adds an extra layer of fun to the episode. Overall, "She Used to Be My Girl" is one of the few modern episodes of "The Simpsons" that is worth watching. It is a clever and well-written episode that manages to maintain the quality of the show's golden era, while still feeling fresh and relevant.

Good news, Marge. I've learned to walk naked on stilts!

Warning: Spoilers
Lisa begins to idolize Chloe Talbot, a famous news reporter, for getting out of Springfield. She is cultured, elegant, and everything Lisa wants to be. Marge fumes with jealousy and is infuriated when Chloe wants to take Lisa to a Women's conference when she is supposed to be at school. Needless to say, something goes awry. Lisa ends up sneaking into Chloe's car trunk because Marge is adamant against her going with Chloe. Chloe gets a call from her boss saying that Mt. Springfield (who would've thought, it's an active volcano) is erupting and she needs to cover it. Lisa pops out of the car just as a river of molten lava pours from the volcano to the road on either side of the car. Marge ends up at the woman's conference, looking for Lisa, and sees Chloe on the monitor covering the Volcano erupting. Marge runs to the rescue and saves the day, and Barney (Chloe's high school sweetheart) picks Chloe up in a helicopter in exchange for pity sex.
