You Know Why I Am Commenting On This (SPOILERS)
25 March 2007 | by (Minnesota) – See all my reviews

Come on, I have recently seen Citizen Kane so I have decided to comment on Rosebud, which is basically a parody of Citizen Kane. I think that Citizen Kane was better than this, but this is still another fantastic episode of the Simpsons. It is very funny, the plot itself is good, and it has the Ramones in it! Instead of a sled, though, which was used in Citizen Kane, it is a stuffed teddy bear named Bobo.

Here is the plot of this episode. Mr. Burns is having nightmares about his long-lost stuffed teddy bear named Bobo. He left it in the snow when he was a child, and he has never seen it again. The only problem is that Maggie Simpson has that dilapidated teddy. Another problem is that they do not know it is Mr. Burns's. They find that out. Mr. Burns offers the family $1,000,000 is they give back the bear. Homer refuses, after he notices that Maggie loves the bear. Mr. Burns does everything to get it back. Then he cuts the power. Maggie and the family finally give the bear back.

Overall, this is one of the best episodes in Season Five of the Simpsons. Cape Feare was the best, but this is still a pretty good episode. Still, you should watch Citizen Kane before you try to watch this. I watched this before I watched Citizen Kane, then I watched this, and almost every scene parodies Citizen Kane. I also like the fact that this tells about Mr. Burns dark childhood. Anyway, this is a good episode of the Simpsons, but the best by far.
