The scene where Maggie knocks Homer unconscious with a mallet is a shortened but very accurate shot-by-shot recreation of the shower scene, in a different setting (a garage) and slightly different details eg. red paint instead of blood.

City in Panic (1986)
Maggie's mallet assault on Homer directly spoofs the first murder in this film, with a curtain being pulled off its hooks, red blood/paint going down a drain and then a cross-fade from the drain to the victim's open eye.
