Storyline

With Valentine's Day looming the husbands of Springfield are put to shame by the lavish plans Apu has to romance Manjula and Homer aims to thwart them, firstly by caging Elton John, whom he wrongly believes has come to town to serenade Manjula, and then by tussling with the pilot of a sky-writing plane employed by Apu to spell out his wife's name in the sky. However, when Homer falls out of the plane having been dragged through a rose bush,Marge is very pleased with the bouquet he has (accidentally) brought her. Written by don @ minifie-1

Hated it
27 December 2014 | by (Manchester, England) – See all my reviews

This is the first true bad Simpsons episode. Why? Because it;s a tired plot from The Flintstones. That episode when Fred banged his head with a bowling ball and became a totally different person. He started being very romantic towards Wilma and then the whole male population of Bedrock was mad at him and chased him with clubs cause their wives were jealous. It's the same plot as here.

The only difference is that Fred = Apu. I must admit I'm a little biased too. I absolutely hate movies or episodes involving Valentine's day. Not a big fan of the romantic genre either.

I'm only about three and a half months older than The Simpsons, but I just discovered them two months ago. I'm already seeing season 10 and I have to agree with some of the other comments I've seen. This show is starting to go downhill fast.
