Storyline

When Bart is held back a year and Lisa fast-streamed they end up in the same class where, for once, Bart is the star pupil because he has already learned the material. Things worsen between them on a field trip where they are called upon to design a new flag for the state of Springfield and Bart sabotages his sister's efforts. After they fight they get lost in the woods before they are found by a hill-billy family and returned home. After this Principal Skinner feels it best to return them to their old classes. Quotes

Lisa Simpson: Bart, you're my big brother. You should act like it more often. You know, protect me from the bad things in the world.
Bart Simpson: As far as nerdy little sisters go, you're the coolest.
Lisa Simpson: Thanks, Bart.
Bart Simpson: And I'm sorry I sabotaged your flag.
Lisa Simpson: I'm sorry I got us lost out here.
Bart Simpson: Oh! And I'm sorry I sawed the heads of your Malibu Stacy dolls. Okay, now you go.
Lisa Simpson: I don't think I've done anything else.
Bart Simpson: Okay, I'll go again. Remember when your bike was mangled by "gypsies"?
Lisa Simpson: Yes?
Bart Simpson: Yeah, funny story. One day I was really ...

Weakest Episode of the Fourteenth Season but Not Bad at All,
15 July 2014 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Bart vs Lisa vs the Third Grade is a good Simpsons episode with a good storyline and some very funny scenes. It is without a doubt,in my opinion, the worst episode of the fourteenth season,an episode where Bart and Lisa are in the same class together, taking their sibling rivalry to the next level, had so much more potential, but it ended up being a very average Simpsons.I liked the beginning of the episode very much, where Bart and Homer can't stop watching television.as they parody shows such as Friends and Robot Wars, but I thought the episode got very weak and less entertaining once Bart and Lisa went on their school trip.Bart vs Lisa vs the Third Grade isn't the finest Simpsons episode, but it's still a funny and enjoyable one.

Bart and Lisa's sibling rivalry is put to the test when Bart is pushed back and Lisa is pushed forward to the third grade.
