Best episode of the season so far! Lots of events and consequences happened this episode. The church raid was recorded and is getting released to the press which paints everyone in a bad light. I love how Vic is literally smiling in the video, made me chuckle. OCU is taking over the case which is rough for Rawling. This is definitely an eventful episode for her. She seems to try to be as pragmatic as possible divorcing herself from her emotions which is why she doesn't care about the victims of the Seizures, but there's hints at her emotions like when she takes such interest in the foster home case. We get to understand a but of her past and why she is the way she is now. This entire case is really messed up. The last scene between her and Claudette is a short one but a powerful one that really gives us insight into Rawling. Great social commentary as it shows the kids that get put into the system, the flaws of it, the consequences of kids raised like this, and the potential abuse and ways the kids turn out because of this. It's painful to see how messed up that family is and how hard it is to fix this issue. I really like how much more the political elements of this show are being shown with Aceveda who has had a pretty interesting arc this season. His confrontation with Rawlings about manipulating the numbers is great. I like how Vic always gets between them. Julien's scene right after showing how excessive and brutal the seizures can be is great. I really like how the seizures truly feel like they can be a solution but you see the good and bad elements to it. Julien explaining how these arrests lead to more criminals perfectly puts some of the flaws in the American justice system.

This is an amazing episode for Vic. After everything that's happening and everything he's done he's really trying to do right by everyone and it's starting to go wrong for him. He finds out Shane's situation from the recording in his car, with Shane being put in a position where he's forced to kill Shane. And before Vic even has time to think Rawling comes to pull him back from the spotlight where he's been working so hard to get back to. The scene between him and Rawling shows 2 actors at the top of their game and has so many great lines.

"Don't make this personal." "The only difference between you and Aceveda is you fooled me into thinking you actually had a goddamn backbone!" What is it with Vic going to the Bathroom and washing his face that is so great? Shane walking in on him after all of this since he's part of the problem is so perfect. Vic has so much to think about now. The scene by the train tracks is so great. Vic and Shane walking together like old times, but it's not really the same, there's still so much tension between them. Those looks they give each other hold so much meaning, the apprehension of who goes first, and who watches out. Just such a great scene, love it. These whiter moments in the season have been some of the best like the first scene between Shane and Vic in the season.

I gotta say I wasn't going to give this episode a 10/10 originally but that ending was just too perfect. I love how this season has added more style to The Shield. I definitely think there's some symbolism Im missing. Great lighting and improved camera work. Vic going on his own to solve everything again, using every detail to manipulate the characters and get what they want. Vic's in a really tough spot and it's taking a toll on him. He feels lost and seems to be going back to his old ways, but he doesn't. This is really an episode, as suggested by the title, of hurt people. Everyone's doing this because someone hurt them. All the characters are motivated by their pain now and in their past. I also think it's an episode about why the characters are cops. When Julien talks about how the seizures target minorities and force then into crime and how that could've been him 10 years ago, Rawling says she doesn't care for color but wether he's blue or not. Rawling similarly talks about her past on how she couldn't help her abused best friend, making her feel helpless, probably leading to her becoming a cop. We also have Dutch trying to get together with Vic's ex wife because of what Vic does to Dutch, and of course Corrine being apprehensive since she's already dated a cop. Finally the great ending scene that brought it all together and gave me chills. One of the rare moments the show draws attention to itself, so it leaves such an impact. As Vic walks through the street, lost, shrouded in darkness, feeling trapped, with bars being formed on the side of his face by the light, he bumps into 2 guys, but he doesn't bring the pain outside for once, he keeps it buried. Cops drive by and shine a bright light at him, exposing his entire body. It takes a moment, but Vic finds himself, and one thing is clear despite everything: "I'm a cop, so get that light out of my face, and get out of here."
