Storyline

A young girl tells a man that she is lost, gives him an address, and asks him to take her home. Later, a father and daughter come to consult Sherlock Holmes, telling him that the daughter's fiancé has disappeared, after sending a note that he was helping a lost little girl. Holmes believes that the case is the latest in a series that includes seven other disappearances in similar circumstances. Holmes and Watson trace the missing man's movements, which leads them to an apparently empty house. After a brief search, they discover the dead body of the missing man in the fireplace. It soon becomes clear that a murderer has killed several victims after luring them to various unoccupied homes. Written by Snow Leopard

Men keep disappearing after helping a child get home
9 October 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is a half hour long and it is unusual. A man is missing and his girlfriend ask Sherlock to find out what happened to him. The man was helping a young girl get home.

Sherlock starts off from the house the girl was standing in front of and finds no one is living there at this point he breaks into the house with Dr Watson who is really scared of getting arrested. Dr Watson is a strict law abider and he cannot believe some of the things Sherlock does that breaks the law.

They go into the house and search around and Sherlock finds a dead body in the fireplace. The man found died from Strychnine poisoning. He is the one they were looking for.

He starts to see a pattern of men missing and found dead in vacant houses. He feels it has something to do with them helping a little girl. The child would get the men to take her to places home but she does no live at these houses. She is told by the adult to do that.

Sherlock solves the mystery. The killer looks for sympathy as to why the men were killed and robbed and what good their money would do in the life of the child, interesting and funny but does not justify murder to Sherlock or me.
