Steve Gustafson, best known as Buddy on The Electric Company, is Alan and runs into a parked bicycle on the sidewalk; with his own bike, that is.
The bike belongs to Tim (Sean Kelly of The Cowboys) and he sees Alan run into the bike and break the headlight on it.
Now things go peculiar when Alan decides to tell an assortment of other kids that he beat up Tim. Why was it necessary to go this route? I never knew Adam West did the voice of Hercules! Tim, it turns out, works at the local zoo, so a confrontation of sorts ends up here.
What especially makes this episode distinctive is that when Billy Batson and Mentor are seeking Alan at the zoo, they ask a gentleman on a little cart where Alan might be.
The man, by chance, is Frank Coghlin Jr who portrayed Billy Batson in the excellent Captain Marvel serial from the 1940s.
Apparently when it was learned that Coghlin worked at a nearby zoo, he was asked to appear in the Saturday morning program.
As far as adventures go, this one is distinctive of the ominous threat of the non-flying vulture.
Thank goodness Cap Marvel showed up just in time!
