Shane kills a man, yet can't remember it. I'm supposing that a gunfighter who fought everyday would, after a while, get so used to "killings" that he wouldn't remember every single person he shot. It's interesting to watch how tormented he was over the fact. I can only imagine how a retired gunfighter who decides to go straight would feel. Not thinking about the people you've killed and the lives you've ruined is one thing, but to think on it like Shane did...that would torment anyone!
This is another good episode that shows just how rough the West could be. I'm sure Shane had a lot of men who were out looking for him, ready to kill him. He's always having to look over his back to see if anyone's after him...what a way to live!
