- Carrie like the little things Big does for her. She says "I Love you" for the first time when Big gifts her an ugly clutch, that Carrie hates. Big is stunned and pretends that he didn't hear it. The clock is set.. Big has a week to respond or Carrie will have to break up with him. According to Carrie, the I Love You has the shelf life of a dairy product. Big takes Carrie out for an expensive dinner (presumably to say "I Love You"), but ends up saying she can return the purse if she doesn't like it.
Carrie gets fed up with high society while at an Upper East Side party (At home of Sarina Bush) with Big. Sarina doesn't serve any brown food or beverages. She won't let Carrie smoke inside the house. Carrie meets an old friend Jeremiah (Sam Ball) on the terrace who shows her a belly tattoo that goes down to his penis. Jeremiah was working as a waiter at the party. As Carrie looks, it seems like she is giving a blow job. That's when Sarina walks in. She tells Big. Big asks Carrie to leave, but she won't. Carrie spends the night with Jeremiah after he is fired from his gig, and next morning Big calls to say "I Love You"..
Miranda is crazy about Steve and Steve worships her. Miranda lets Steve pay, and she goes to places only which she knows Steve can afford. Charlotte tells Miranda that money, income and background matter and that pretending that we live in a classless society won't work. Miranda visits Steve's apartment for the first time. It is a really tiny place, and it is clear that Steve doesn't make too much money and he does not have any exciting prospects. Carrie says that it normal for rich men to date poor women.
Miranda invites Steve to attend a party at her office. Steve only has a gold corduroy suit, so Miranda gets him a nice suit that costs $1800. She insists that she will pay. Steve demands that he pays. Steve is late for Miranda's firm party. When he turns up, she finds that he has returned the suit, as he can't afford it. He breaks up with Miranda as she needs to be with someone at her own level. Miranda is hurt and slams the door in his face.
Charlotte meets Wylie Ford (Brian Van Holt), the movie star and joins his entourage. Wylie had come to Charlotte's gallery to view some artwork. He calls her Charlene. Charlotte unwittingly becomes the latest member of Wylie's entourage. She smokes pot for the first time and becomes a groupie. She leaves when Wylie asks her to let him smell her finger after she has put it in her P**SY.
Samantha dates a wealthy real-estate developer Harvey Terkel (James McCauley) with a Southeast Asian live-in servant Sum (Jina Oh) who has her master wrapped around her little finger. Harvey suggests that Samantha stays for as long as she likes, and sum will cook breakfast for her. But as soon as Harvey leaves, Sum kicks her out of his bed and tells her she has no time to cook breakfast. But next time, Sum is completely docile in front of Harvey, and he won't hear any suggestions that Sum was rude to Samantha. Next Sum pretends that Samantha hit her, and Harvey kicks Samantha out..
