Storyline

As neither of the four friends has a solid prospect of engagement, they hate feeling obliged to attend a formerly bizarre socialite's baby shower - when it turns out she even 'stole' Charlotte's years ago made-up unique baby-name Shayla, they march out 'scandalized'. The worrying worsens as Carrie's period is really late, and she doesn't even know yet how she would feel about a pregnancy. Written by KGF Vissers

About Baby Showers
2 September 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The four women attend a baby shower for their one-time wild-child friend Laney in her new buttoned-down Connecticut-suburb environs. Carrie is forced to think about motherhood by her late period. Miranda regards the other guests as part of the cult of The Motherhood. Still-single Charlotte fears her dreams of being a wife and mother are slipping away. Samantha throws a "no-baby shower" in response to the one the four women attended.

If you do not have any children or really care about kids, the baby shower is a dreaded event. There are only so many times that a single woman or even a married woman can coo over tiny clothing or rattles or any of that stuff. It's almost like a stint in jail but without all the scariness.Of course,Charlotte has a grand time until she finds out that someone has stolen her future baby name ala George on Seinfels. And that is why you keep your baby names to yourself until that kid is born. And of course,Samantha is just humorous.
