When the quartet is invited to an engagement party, Carrie and Miranda feel like outcasts - singles without marriage prospects. Samantha picks up a TV agent, but soon switches her attentions to a physically attractive Franciscan, and offers her charitable PR services in a vain attempt to seduce him. When Charlotte goes ask Trey if they still have a marital future, he gets sexual but this time premature. Carrie has a birthday party from hell as nobody gets there, but is pleasantly surprised afterward. Written by KGF Vissers

Did You Know?

Carrie asks Big about his age, but in the previous seasons she knew his age, she could have known it without asking. See more »

Woman: Oh, what a beautiful wedding ring! Where's your husband?
Charlotte: Oh, um, he's not here. We're actually taking some time apart. We're separated - not legally separated, nothing legal, oh God no! We're just taking some time to figure things out. We got married really fast - love at first sight, didn't think it through. So now we're talking and trying to figure out what he - actually, we, he and I - really want. We love each other so much but that doesn't always mean a marriage is working does it? No, it ...

Women In Their 30's
5 September 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When Carrie turns 35, all the girls reflect on how it feels like being in their thirties and still single. Samantha is doing just what she likes best: men – her latest attempt is a monk, and despite her unsuccessful attempts to drive him to sin she still manages to have some sex with him, even if it's only in her mind. Charlotte still believes in soul mates. Unfortunately she realizes Trey isn't hers after he ejaculates on her leg. Miranda, at first marveled with the greatness of marriage realizes that you don't have to be married to be happy, while Carrie freaks when no one shows up at her dinner party and she goes home feeling depressed and abandoned. Fortunately, Big shows up with a bottle of champagne. And even though he might not be her soul mate, it's good enough for her. After all, not everything is perfect. Not even your 35th birthday.

In the opener of the 4th season,we get to see how women in their 30's deal with being single and not having a family. Also,we get to see them realize about having soul mates only to convince each other that they themselves are soul mates and men are objects that are fun to play with.
