Storyline

Carrie has lunch with Petrovsky's ex Juliette B. who tells her he always gives priority to his art above his partner- she finds that true and has a generally bad time. Charlotte prepares with Anthony to receive her promised adoption baby's birth parents, but those changed their mind; ultimately she and Harry get another baby girl from China. Steve's ma Mary suffers memory loss after a mild stroke, and Miranda offers to take her in, which their maid Magda calls love. Samantha finally admits that Smith means enough to her, unlike any other man, to be jealous. Mr. Big has finally realized that he cannot be happy without Carrie and sets out to bring her back to New York, just when she was considering breaking up with the Russian anyhow. Goofs

When Carrie is in the pastry shop, we see a long shot of her sitting against a three panel screen and her table is at the end panel, with no table next to her. When we get the close up of her, with the dog sitting next to her, her table is in the middle of the screen and the table next to her (with the dog) is in her original position. See more »

Quotes

Charlotte: [hearing the front door open] Hi, honey. I'm a bad wife. I ordered Chinese.
Harry: I got something from China, too. They're giving us a baby.
Charlotte: What? How?
Harry: I guess God remembered our address. We get her in six months... and here she is.
[hands Charlotte a photo of the baby]
Charlotte: [smiling through tears] That's our baby. I know it. That's really our baby!

A perfect ending to a perfect series
9 June 2006 | by (The Arms of Unconsciousness) – See all my reviews

It's was a bittersweet experience to see the end of a series that played a pivotal part in our culture. I wouldn't be surprised if this show wouldn't be in the history books of children a few decades from now. Women and men, whether they were single, married, divorced, gay, straight, bi, young, middle-aged, old.... all could identify with these four women and the situations they face. True, they are dramatized and it isn't real life, but we all can see intimate links of our lives with the show. A work of brilliance that would never ever be replaced. On this night women allover tuned into HBO...sipping their cosmopolitans.. gathering their friends... toasting Sex and the City, for the best six years of their lives.
