Goofs

Parker sends a page to Talmadge, Mentnor and Ramsey with the number 505.555.1017 as a coded message to give the location he is being held. They interpret the '505'as 'SOS', but when they try to figure the other numbers as latitude and longitude, Ramsey says that it's "...a dairy farm in Wisconsin." The actual location is near the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border, about twenty miles west of the town of Charles, Manitoba. Alternative locations, interpreting the co-ordinates as either east or south instead of west and north, give locations in Siberia or the Indian or Pacific oceans near the limit of Antarctic pack ice drift.
