There are several ludicrous things at work in this episode. First of all we have Jerry falling for this beautiful, bright, charming girl. But others find her blah and not the best for him. George and Kramer take him aside and tell him to dump her. As is often the case, there is no reason on earth for this. Elaine's boss comes back from Myanmar and decides he want his life story made into a book, and hires Elaine to ghost write it. But he is so uninteresting that he purchases events from Kramer's life to use as his own, including something about getting dirt on his pants in a tunnel. George has his own story. He is in charge of the foundation's finding an intern. He picks a kid who is a carbon copy of him. He's shallow. He's unmotivated. But George dumps him and he joins a street gang called the Van Buren Boys, named after Martin Van Buren, the eighth president of the US. There's some choice stuff here with every quirky character showing their stuff.
