Did You Know?

The scene where Newman decides on who gets to keep the bike is based on the biblical story "The Judgement of Solomon" (1 Kings 3:16-28). In the story, King Solomon is asked to decide - between two women - who should keep a child - one being the true mother. After some deliberation, King Solomon calls for a sword. He declares that there is only one fair solution: the live son must be split in two, each woman receiving half of the child. The boy's true mother then cries out, "Please, My Lord, give her the live child - do not kill him!" King Solomon instantly gives the baby to the real mother, realizing that the true mother's instincts were to protect her child. See more »

When George is talking about Susan's relationship to her cousin and her unborn child, he says that Susan and her cousin's child will be second cousins. This is incorrect - Susan and her cousin's child will be first cousins once removed. See more »

Elaine: [Elaine's is in pain from her neck] Ah, I think I really strained it. Ow.
Jerry: Aw, I doubt you strained it. Maybe you pulled it.
Elaine: Ach, maybe.
Jerry: Did you twist it? You coulda twisted it.
Elaine: I don't know.
Jerry: Did you wrench it? Did you jam it? Maybe you squeezed it. Turned it...
Elaine: [patience exhausted] You know what, why don't you just shut the hell up?
Jerry: Awright.

Episode title says 7 but its more like 10

The seven is yet another brilliant episode in this brilliant TV sitcom. George wants to name is future child seven and is convinced it is the most unique name. Jason Alexander does a great job in showing a frustrated and infuriated George getting worked up over petty issues. He hilariously tells Susan to stay calm when he gets worked up and puts his head out of the window. This and his portrayal throughout the series is one of many reasons why I think George is best Seinfeld character, in my humble opinion.

Meanwhile Jerry is dating a girl who always wears the same dress like Superman always wore the same uniform. And Elaine and Kramer have an amusing fight over a bike and the validity of oral contracts.

This episode is your typical run of the mill Seinfeld episode. It is intelligent, funny, unique and showcases great performances from the main 4.
