Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Jerry tells Newman that his party, set for New Year's Eve 1999, is a year late, and therefore quite lame, as the Millennium doesn't start until 2001, rather than 2000. Actually, Newman's party would be a year EARLY, not a year late. moreQuotes:
Jerry Seinfeld: By the way, Newman, when you booked the hotel, did you remember to book it for the millennium new year?Newman: As a matter of fact, I did.
Jerry Seinfeld: Well that's funny because as everyone knows that there's no year zero, the millennium doesn't begin until 2001. Which would make your party one year late. And thus, quite lame. Oh!
Newman: Cheap.
