Tony Carlin ...

Five years after he and George made their original pitch, Jerry gets a call from NBC saying they want to go ahead with the original proposal. As a perk, they offer him the company jet to take him anywhere he likes and he, Elaine, George and Kramer are soon winging their way to Paris. They don't get very far when the plane has to make an emergency landing - thanks to Kramer's water-logged ear - and soon find themselves with a few hours to kill in a small town. When they see a fat man being car-jacked, they make fun of it but are soon arrested under a new Good Samaritan law for failing to help him. Written by garykmcd

Did You Know?

A number of rumors circulated speculating what may happen in the finale. Among them was that Jerry and Elaine would marry or that Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer would all die. Both rumors were parodied in the episode. See more »

The business jet that the four fly to Paris is clearly an Eclipse or something similar, as the jet has wing-tip tanks, on the ground. When it cuts to the in-flight scene, it is clearly a Cessna or Bombardier business jet, missing the wing-tip tanks. After it has landed in Latham, it once again has the tip tanks. See more »

I wish I'd never seen it.

What a lame way to end a really funny series. I couldn't watch any Seinfeld rerun for years afterward because this finale left such a bad taste in my mouth.

They hyped the finale so much that nearly everyone in America watched. Maybe that was the problem, but I missed it the first time it aired (one of the few), and I heard from my friends how bad it was, so my expectations were lowered and I still hated it.

My husband has never watched the finale because he heard from several people (including me) that we couldn't stand to watch the good episodes because this was so horrible. He has no tainted memory of the show. Meanwhile, it took seven years before I was able to stay in the same room with him when he watched Seinfeld reruns. That's a long time for a wound to heal.
