- In this hour-long episode, Jerry performs the biggest show of his life in Atlantic City. He receives a rather generous pay check for the event, and decides to buy his father a Cadillac. Unfortunately, doing so puts Morty in the hot seat with the condo board of directors, where he serves as president. Morty is accused of stealing money from the board, and ultimately gets removed from his post as president and kicked out of the condo. Meanwhile, thanks to Elaine, George can score a date with "My Cousin Vinny" star Marisa Tomei but Elaine objects because of George's engagement with Susan. Kramer turns the tables on the cable company when they want to disconnect his service.—halo1k
- After a particularly big payday, Jerry decides to surprise his parents by buying them a new car. He flies down to Florida and personally delivers a fully loaded Cadillac. His Dad is thrilled with the car and proud to have such a giving son. Some of his neighbors, especially Jack, aren't so keen and Morty is accused of stealing condo funds to pay for his new rich lifestyle. There's a move to impeach Morty as the condo president and the deciding vote rests with Mrs. Choate who is sure she's seen Jerry somewhere before. In New York meanwhile, George begins to obsess over the possibility that he could have a date with Marisa Tomei thanks to one of Elaine's friends who knows her. The fact that he's engaged doesn't seem to bother him. Kramer meanwhile is getting his revenge on the local cable company by constantly agreeing to appointments for them to come to his apartment but then making a point of not being there—garykmcd

- Jerry comes back from a high-paying gig and awes Kramer with his earnings. Kramer now feels inferior to Jerry and says he cannot talk to Jerry anymore. Jerry surprises his parents by buying them a new fully loaded Cadillac Fleetwood; learning about his financial situation, Elaine becomes infatuated with Jerry once again (The Fleetwood base model cost US$36,995 at the time). Elaine starts fawning on Jerry, being infatuated and even offers to drop him off at the airport when he goes to meet his parents.
The Plaza Cable company wants to meet with Kramer, who makes sure he is not at home when they arrive, to retaliate for their lateness when his cable was first installed more than 10 years ago. Nick (Walter Olkewicz), the cable guy has been stood up more than 3 times and now he swears that he won't let Kramer get away with it. Nick calls Kramer pretending to be from the phone company. But Kramer realizes that he is talking to the cable guy. Kramer puts the call on hold, as he goes about his daily life inside his apartment.
The electrical company calls and tells Kramer that they need to do a safety audit of his apartment, but Kramer mistakes this to be one of the tricks of Nick.
Meanwhile, as The A.V. Club describes it, "Back in New York, we're treated to a whole ethical dilemma where George wrestles with the news that he's Marisa Tomei's type and could have been introduced to her if he was still single." George reconsiders his engagement to Susan (Heidi Swedberg) when Katy (Annabelle Gurwitch), Elaine's friend, reveals that she is friends with actress Marisa Tomei: Katy tells George that Marisa has a thing for quirky, funny guys and she particularly loves bald guys and that she would consider setting George up with her if he was single. Hearing all this, George develops an obsession for Marisa. George says that he has never been anyone's type. Marisa won an academy award. George contemplates having a cup of coffee with Marisa. Jerry asks if George plans to tell Susan about it and he doesn't. Jerry says that if he won't tell Susan about it, then it is wrong.
Jack Klompus (Sandy Baron) accuses Morty (Barney Martin) of embezzling funds from the office of condo president to pay for his new Cadillac. Jack does not believe Jerry has enough talent to earn so much money and convinces the rest of the Condo Board of this. Jack says that Jerry doesn't have a good act and would be lucky if he could pay his own rent. The board is divided on the issue of impeachment. 3 votes for and 3 votes against. Only Mrs Mabel Choate (Frances Bay) is undecided and Morty and Helen (Liz Sheridan) decide to invite her over tea.
George wants to meet Marisa for a cup of coffee, even when Elaine tells him "it's cheating!" on his fiance. Elaine refuses to ask Katy for Marisa's number. George insists that a cup of coffee is not a fix up. George claims that it is not cheating if there is no sex. George forces Elaine to call Katy only to find that she in the hospital. George insists on getting Marisa's phone number, to the point of harassing Katy when she is in the hospital with a heart condition. Katy is heavily medicated and is under sedation, and yet George wants her to wake up and give him Marisa's number.
Elaine calls Jerry in Florida and tells him she wants to come and join him, but Jerry demurs. While in Florida, Jerry has to sleep on the foldout sofa with the bar in the middle of the bed. Elaine is flirting with Jerry and he has no idea. Kramer continues to avoid the Plaza Cable worker.
George's obsession with Marisa Tomei makes Susan suspicious when she comes home and finds him on the couch watching My Cousin Vinny and again, later, when she finds him watching Only You (specifically, scenes in which Tomei is on screen).
George badgers Elaine till she agrees to get him Marisa's number. George obtains Marisa's phone number and works with Elaine to create a cover story involving Elaine and her fictitious "boyfriend", Art Vandelay. George would typically use Jerry, but now he is in Florida. The story is that George is meeting Elaine to sort out problems between her and her boyfriend Art Vandelay. Art is into imports and exports. The problem is that Art wants to quit the exporting and focus only on the importing. In a scene that is a nearly exact inversion of the walking date in The Soup, George meets Marisa Tomei, and they have a similar date in the park. Marisa is initially enchanted by George and finds him spontaneously funny, but when he tells her, "Well, Marisa. See, the thing is, I'm sort of engaged," she is furious with him, decking him and storming off.
Susan suspects George is having an affair with Elaine and questions her regarding his whereabouts. Controlling herself (having initially burst out into spontaneous laughter), Elaine answers the questions. The answers follow the cover story they agreed on earlier, but Susan trips her up on one of the questions and is still suspicious and asks another question they hadn't anticipated. Susan asks what Art imports, and Elaine responds potato chips. And he exports diapers.
After Susan leaves, Elaine frantically tries to contact George so he will be able to give a matching answer to the question. George returns to the apartment and is met by Susan, who asks the same tricky question. George gives a wrong answer (he responds that Art imports matches) and receives his second punching that day.
Morty is relying on the vote of Mabel Choate to save him from impeachment. Mabel is coincidentally the same woman from whom Jerry stole the marble rye ("The Rye"). Mabel does not recognize Jerry and so there is still hope. The vote is reversed when Mabel hears Jack Klompus refer to her under his breath as an "old bag," triggering her memory of the incident when Jerry had used that same epithet on her. Having lost her vote, Morty is removed from office, except for his single vote against the motion. Jack Klompus is elected as the new President of the Condo association.
The cable guy repeatedly tries to confront Kramer, but he always gets away, in scenes which reference Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. The cable guy finally concedes defeat and apologizes on behalf of cable guys everywhere, promising better service across the board. Kramer appears and has an emotional reconciliation with the cable guy and the two embrace.
Morty and his wife leave the condo in a scene referencing Oliver Stone's Nixon.
