Storyline

Diving for sponges off of Florida, Mike hears bells as a fierce current tries to force him into a cave. He barely escapes death, but learns many other divers have met their demise after being lured in by an evil mermaid. Obsessed with solving the mystery, Mike is determined to dive again.

I liked this second Larry Hagman-guested ep of "Sea Hunt" I've seen better than his first one

This is the second ep of "Sea Hunt" I've seen that guest starred Larry Hagman. Here, he's Alex Kouras who along with wife Marie (Regina Gleason, reuniting with Hagman from previous ep, "The Sponge Divers") are helping Mike Nelson (series regular Lloyd Bridges) to explore an underwater cave that has some strange music and possibly a dead mermaid in it though he has yet to see it and only has heard tales from Alex and Marie as well as previous diver Nick Demitrius (Paul Fierro). I'll stop there and just say this was a much better episode from this series than the previous one I just mentioned. So on that note, "Legend of the Mermaid" is a recommended one from me concerning "Sea Hunt".
