In the aftermath of Jordan's (Christa Miller) revelations, everyone is estranged from each other. But slowly, they begin repairing their relationships. Meanwhile, a mysterious troubadour - guest star Colin Hay of Men at Work - appears throughout the episode supplying a musical interlude. After Jordan revealed that she slept with J.D. (Zach Braff), he expects the worst from Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley). However, Dr. Cox is indifferent towards J.D. and the situation, which J.D. finds worse than anger.

J.D. is assigned to Mr. Zerbo, a patient who is also a major hospital benefactor. The patient has visited several different departments and has undergone many tests, but no one is able to figure out his illness. In all the relationship confusion, J.D. ends up not doing any research on Mr. Zerbo's symptoms. However, doing nothing was exactly what Mr. Zerbo needed to be cured.

Elliot (Sarah Chalke), embarrassed by Jordan's revelation about her lingering feelings for J.D., is avoiding J.D. at all costs. J.D. finally confronts her and suggests that they sleep together in order to figure out their feelings for each other - but she turns him down.

Carla (Judy Reyes) is angry with Turk (Donald Faison) for not telling her that Dr. Cox was in love with her. She believes that Turk should feel that their relationship is strong enough to withstand it.

One relationship that not been affected is that between J.D. and the Janitor (Neil Flynn).

After some time, all estranged relationships return to normal.
