One common plot element is the young scientist coming into a lab where the previous researcher has died. In this case, the young man comes upon incredible work in the use of telescopes. He finds incredible pictures of planets and stars. He also finds cryptic postcards from Barcelona, with formulas indicating that the previous scientist's discoveries may not have been his. Another problem. A young woman, the previously unknown daughter of the late scientist, comes into the lab, charges the men with trespassing, and eventually gets her way. There are so many sexist scenes in these fifties things. When she comes in flaming away, the young scientist says, "If you're going to act like a child you'll be treated like one." He grabs her, pushes her out the door, slams it shut, and locks it. Other than this sophomoric idiocy, it ends up being quite interesting.
