Storyline

A strange signal is disrupting the sonar used by bats, causing them to slam into a skyscraper. Fearing a foreign country is tying to disrupt our radar systems, the government investigates. They discover a strong microwave beam aimed at the building from directly above. The inspectors figure it must be coming from a space station in orbit before remembering that signals from earth are reflected by the ionosphere. Written by Jay Phelps <jaynashvil@aol.com>

Batty Bats
9 July 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The behavior of bats is investigated when a number of them smash against the windows of a tall building. Scientist are puzzled because of the usually flawless navigation systems of bats. This leads to the discovery of a strange beam emanating from somewhere outside the city. This is Cold War America and the thought of something jamming a radar signal sends chills down the spines of the authorities. The speak incoming Atom and Hydrogen bombs making their way past our defense systems. It takes a visit to a pool hall to figure this all out. It's a pretty weak episode, although Truman's experiments at the beginning are more interesting than the story.
