A fair but flat story.

I discovered this one yesterday at night. Directed by the vet John Brahm, film maker of THE LODGER, HANGOVER SQUARE, BRASHER DOBLOON, THE LOCKET, all film noir nuggets, I expected a little more. Just a little. It looks like a Alfred Hitchcock TV episode. A woman - Valentina Cortese - is pursued by a man who wants to kill her, at first with his car, and she finds refuge in George Sander's house. And they try together to face the problem to fight against the stranger outside who tries to get into the house.

The flat ending is disappointing. But I was surprised of it. Everyone in the audience would have waited for a sort of twist ending, as so many episodes usually give us. This episode actually ends like a classic movie.

But it's worthwhile.
