- On the day of Lane and Dean's wedding, Peyton steals away for a close encounter with Nick; Edward and Veronica almost get caught in a steamy engagement of their own; and the bride tries to numb her cold feet by mixing drugs and alcohol.
- On the morning of her wedding day, Lane wakes up sleepily to a rendition of You're Getting Married in the Morning sung by her roommates. They hug warmly, but as soon as she is alone, Lane dives for her pills, phones the pharmacy, pretends to be a doctor's secretary, and arranges a further supply. Veronica warns Nick that it is not just a lot of fun getting back at somebody who wronged you, but hard work. They're going to set out to blackmail and bankrupt Edward. She hands him information regarding somebody to track down if he really wants Tom Massick to sweat. Then she phones Edward at home, who misleads Eleanor into believing that it is a business call. They make an appointment. Eleanor offers to host the business meeting at the house, but Edward wangles out of that one quickly. Peyton sulks at not having gotten her way with Nick, with Tom teasing her that she is losing her touch. She expertly dispels him of that notion, then leaves him stranded to cool off all by himself. Lane fetches her prescription, narrowly missing getting caught out by little Jason, from whom she hides the bottle behind her back. Dean cannot wait for their nights together. Shifty Bennie Serna finds out from Cassie that her roommate Reese has a rich Daddy, and as the incentive grows, she sets off to a pawn shop to afford the making of Cassie's demo tape. Referring to her sore feet after a busy stint overseeing the gambling tables, and getting a response showing that their foot-massage session was still fresh in mind, Peyton flirts all out with Nick, presenting him with engaging looks in her lightly-clad summery outfit. "Be my escort at the wedding; we can have so much fun." Nick disagrees, he has a plane to catch, and pretty Peyton is foiled yet again. Perturbed, her confidence shaken, Peyton sneaks a look at herself in another girl's hand-held mirror! Lane now laces the pills with Vodka but is stunned to hear about the blood test at the lab. She quickly removes her drink, pouring it out suspiciously over a plant as Reese and Cassie watch incredulously, shaking their heads. Benny guides Cassie through the recording session at the studio. Peyton has another try at seducing Nick by providing a flimsy excuse to visit his apartment, but he 'has to visit a sick aunt'. At Lane's hen party, she is getting steadily more and more seriously wasted, jumping up into the arms of the male stripper. "I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt", blares as normally-staid Lane hangs off his body. Reese ably gets rid of the man before there is trouble. Nick tracks down Madeline Stewart in New York. She clearly has a score to settle with the man others know as Tom Massick. She'd been looking for him for three years, so big trouble is brewing. At the hotel hosting the wedding reception, Veronica and Edward have their rendezvous. Ever the accomplished seductress, Veronica assures Edward she has missed him terribly. They leave for a room, unbeknownst that it is, by coincidence, perilously close to where Lane, Reese, Peyton and Cassie are preparing for the ceremony. Lane knocks back more and more alcohol in the bathroom. Peyton gets a message regarding 'a free foot massage' awaiting her down the hall. Veronica enjoys living on the wild side, cheating with Edward on Eleanor, and Nick awaits Peyton on the bed with a red rose as she enters the suite. He taunts her that she was practically dancing naked on the tables trying to gain his attention, and that 'she flew to his room' as soon as she got his note. She is all in a huff but has made her mark, languorously stretching out her stocking-ed legs and slipping off her shoes as he settles down on top of her. Lane, who has been seriously imbibing, is in tears. Her stockings are torn, "my outfit is ruined!", and she scoots off Reese in search of pantyhose at the supermarket. In search of ice, Lane accidentally locks herself out of her apartment. At the reception, Tom and Nick are at loggerheads as usual. Cassie sings to buy some time as Dean gets restless with no sign of Lane. Veronica's hands are gliding over her sheer stockings after her tryst with Edward, she'd love to visit with him in the White House one day. Their naughty musings have to be put on hold when they almost bump first into Peyton, then Reese, Edward going "My God, we're surrounded!" In her wedding dress, Lane gets a maid to open the door for her, but in her state, she fails to notice that it is the adjoining room. Hiding out, Edward phones Eleanor and excuses himself from his pending meeting with the Honduras people. At the reception, Madeline plonks herself down next to Tom, "hello scum!" Reese and Cassie informs Dean that Lane is nowhere to be found. Dean looks worried. Lane has overdosed.
