Goofs

While Grady did empty the gas can he used to pour the liquor he pretended to drink into, he did not rinse it out or anything prior to doing so, therefore he was actually drinking a little bit of gasoline when he decided to drink all the liquor from the can. That would've been enough to make him severely ill or even kill him. See more »

Quotes

Betty: [Grady, Lamont, Hoppy and Smitty stand in the living room with a drunk Betty looking them over, then addressing Officer Smitty] Well, if you're not Fred Sanford, and neither one of them is Fred sanford,
[turns to Officer Hoppy]
Betty: that leaves you. You're Fred Sanford
[comes over and hugs the startled policeman]
Officer 'Hoppy' Hopkins: Oh, no, no, madam! I'm - she thinks I'm Fr - I'm of the Caucasian persuasion!
[She turns to Smitty]
Officer 'Smitty' Smith: He's a white dude.

Second of nine with Grady Wilson
4 December 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Will the Real Fred Sanford Please Do Something?" was the second episode with Grady Wilson taking care of Lamont in Fred's absence. Betty Hester (Vivian Bonnell) shows up at the junkyard looking for Fred, and refuses to believe that Grady isn't Fred. Lamont won't back up Grady, and since Betty insists that Fred proposed to her in a bar she plans on moving in. Grady tries to recreate that night by filling her with booze, and only then does she realize that he's not Fred. Even Lamont isn't safe from her accusations, bringing in Smitty and Hoppy as arbiters. Vivian Bonnell previously appeared as Audrey the fortune teller in "Libra Rising All Over Lamont."
