Sentimental value comes at a premium
10 December 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Home Sweet Home" opens with Sanford and Son returning from a miserable camping trip, Julio sharing the news that a Japanese corporation is interested in building a brewery on the neighborhood property. Julio advises Fred that they'll be arriving in the morning: "I know...they always attack at dawn!" Fred offers advice to Julio: "this is the captain speaking, get your poop off my deck!" If anyone holds out, the sale falls through and nobody gets any money. Miss Funai (Helen Funai) turns out to be young and pretty, her company eager to conclude the deal for $20,000, but the overly ambitious Fred puts an higher price on sentimental value: "we got 'em by the teriyaki!" An evening of Japanese cuisine also doesn't go as well as planned.
