Goofs

Fred is trying to sell the house to two potential buyers by quickly showing them the house before the next earthquake starts. At one point he and the couple go upstairs (and off-camera) and we hear Fred moving up and down the hall opening and closing doors to each room very quickly. However you can see his shadow on the wall as Redd Foxx is obviously standing still opening and closing a prop door just out of view of the audience. See more »

"Earthquake II" opens with Fred coming downstairs for breakfast, only to find the place a shambles after a small earthquake. A second one signals more trouble from a fault that just might reduce the junkyard to rubble. Fred eyes Las Vegas as a safer town to live, planning to unload the junkyard on the first sucker that comes along. Enter fellow junk dealer Leonard Johnson (Britt Leach) and his wife Mavis (Reva Rose), who get an extremely rushed tour just as another quake occurs. Fred's wanderings in Vegas are accompanied by the Benny Hill theme, meeting up with Merv Griffin and Steve & Eydie during his travels. A long distance call to LA merely confirms that everything's all right, while Fred returns home broke and hitch hiking, to the tune of Bessie Smith's "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out."
