Dropping Whopper Choppers
kevinolzak6 December 2016
"Can You Chop This?" was the only script credited to regular script supervisor Joni Rhodes, doing double duty as a female TV voice. Nancy Kulp's Mrs. Hopkins (third of five) complains about her bathtub backing up, noticing Fred's unappetizing meal taken from the Cavorting Connoisseur (Cesare Danova, spoofing the Galloping Gourmet). Lamont is delighted to be accepted for a $200 acting class with Lee Ginsberg, as it means a great deal to him. A TV commercial for Whopper Choppers inspires Fred to become their latest pitchman, especially since Hutch (Arnold Johnson, fourth of five) mentioned how his cousin made $40 in ten days. The smiling delivery man is Danny Taylor (Danny Wells), unwilling to part with 100 Whopper Choppers unless Fred can pay him $175, which means having to use the money that Lamont intended to spend on his tuition. Once Lamont finds out what his father's done he threatens to leave if Fred can't make back the money by Wednesday. Ta-Tanisha as Janet (from "The Sanford Arms") makes her second and last appearance.
