It seems that a Roman cab driver attempts to scam an innocent American young woman, attempting to overcharge her. As a true gentleman, the Saint, in flawless Italian, defends the unprotected lady and shortly after, the two of them begin to flirt while sightseeing. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to them, two Mafia thugs stalk them and while unguarded, they knock the Saint down and kidnap the girl who is none other than the daughter of Governor Hudson Inverest. Luckily, a couple of American tourists witness the disturbing scene and without delay, they report it to the Embassy. In short, the ruthless Mafia Lord who is behind the kidnap, Tony Unciello, wants one thing only: to strike a deal with the Governor, muscling out a reprieve for his younger brother Michele who is a death-sentenced vicious criminal, in no more than 48 hours.
