Welcome back, Emily Hart as the mischievous Cousin Amanda, the only* real spark of life in this shambles of a series. Back in the earlier seasons, it was clear that Melissa was a big ol' bore compared to her little kid sister Emily. And that's understandable. Just check on Wikipedia how old Melissa Joan Hart actually was, her whole life long, playing kids. She was, like, ancient, and it shows. After SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH came an animated series, with Emily as Sabrina, and Melissa as the two sisters (voices only, of course) and Sabrina was much younger, twelve I think. The way it should have been with the TV series: Emily Hart as Sabrina, Melissa as Aunt Hilda, and somebody marginally older as Zelda. The show could have been a whole lot cooler. Of course, only if Nate Richert was never included in the package.

The dorkiest TV stars ever, Caroline Rhea and Nate Richert. They are like Z-list celebrities. They make me wanna switch off.

It doesn't take much to understand why two such unappealing people are so unpopular with me. They are dorky characters. That wimpy performance by that Nate is so off-putting it sets the Sexual Revolution it its proper perspective. He is a big ol' girl's blouse.

Anyway, in tonight's episode, Emily Hart is baaaaack to throw some spark into the otherwise dull proceedings. You will notice my low score. Not even Emily can save this mess. Look at all those unattractive characters.

Little girls loved this show???? What for? Little girls were obviously parked in front of the TV set, Mommy sighed a sigh of relief for 30 minutes of rest, and bought into the advertised products, or something like that, for on merit alone, this show is actually a stinker. The characters are vapid and shallow and self-centered in an unattractive display of ME ME ME ME ME! To explain myself: I saw Melissa in DRIVE ME CRAZY on DVD, and green lighted buying the entire kid's series because Season 1 looked promising, and the boxes looked cute. I have been known to be wrong. I think I am the staunchest critic of this TV series in the entire world. I could just pour a vat of vinegar over the entire cast, little Emily excluded.

*okay, there was a girlfriend of Sabrina in the first season that I liked

In conclusion, a final thought: Melissa Joan Hart, act your age! A teenager playing a prepubescent CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL, a twenty-something playing a schoolkid while her little kid sister was a much more suitable choice... Okay, perhaps Emily was too young for the responsibility back then? But Melissa sure could have taken lessons in perkiness from her.
