Strange screen play

This episode is very strange. See for yourself. At the beginning, the SWAT team is called for a hostage case. The usual stuff, so far. But just after they waste the bad guys and resolved the crisis, the lead cops have their supervisor, their chief - Hondo - have a major health problem. A problem that forces him to take a rest and leave the team. That's just the point of the episode. The replacement leader is a bad ass. So the audience expects a feud over the team because of this...

And...Nothing really happens about it.

Hondo recovers and gets back to the team. That's all folks.

No climax, no action sequences, except the wiping out of the bad guys at the beginning.Bbut that's all.

Weird episode.

After all, why not?
