Paul Bryan fights to get a beautiful, wealthy widow off from a charge of murdering her husband, despite her immediately making 2 confessions. Bryan takes over her case from an expert criminal attorney, a law school mate of Bryan's, who broke his leg skiing. Bryan claims that he has no experience in criminal law: Is Bryan conveniently forgetting that he and his pal were assistant DAs together, to justify his likely failure to get the widow, who admits she loathed her husband, found innocent ? Bryan suspects her original mouthpiece broke the law by coaching her, to pass a truth serum test. Paul Bryan is waiting his own death sentence, issued by his physicians. Could the ordinarily righteous, honest attorney, have ulterior motives ? Written by David Stevens
