Trivia

The "Foreign Man" in the hospital played by Elya Baskin was speaking in Estonian. At first he says "three, three, one, two, three, four, five, six" and then in the scene later while he is talking to Jackie, as he leaves, he says "aitäh" which means "thank you". See more »

Quotes

Foreign Man: [to Jackie] How are you, my wife? Is okay?
Dan Conner: You better take him up on it, Jackie. That's liable to be your last proposal.

The Slice of Life (#1.18)
3 March 2017 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

In this episode Darlene doesn't want her mother to come to see her game. Roseanne stays at home but then is called and told that Darlene is in the hospital.

This isn't an episode where one can fit in a lot of humor but it is done pretty well. Since it is an appendix we don't worry too much but we can really understand how horrible her family must feel. And the acting is also done very well.

Of course at the end it was very sweet with Darlene apologizing for her behavior.

The Estonian guy was obviously put in to provide some fum moments but it kind of falls flat.
