Quotes

Bev Harris: Ek-gads, imagine, a child loving his mother. I hope you can *snap* him out of it, Roseanne.
Roseanne Conner: This is not about Dan loving his Mother. Okay, you can still love your mother even though you know that she is a crazy old *shrew*.
Bev Harris: Don't think that I can't read between *those* lines, Roseanne.

Lies My Father Told Me (#6.21)
15 April 2017 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The family is dealing with grandma Conner going to a mental institution and of course the hardest it is for Dan. He blames his dad and comes drunk to his house. But Crystal tells Roseanne the truth and that Dan's mother had always a mental illness, Ed just hid it from Dan and let him blame it on him for everything so that he can protect her and don't make Dan think bad of his mother.

This is one of the episodes that is less humorous and more into emotional side. And it was done in a great way. John Goodman is a great actor and in this episode he shows us Dan's pain very well. It also adds more to Ed's character who is now getting a positive side. And yes they did make it see intense with some laughs such as DJ and the test or reliving the situation.
