Storyline

Thanksgiving for the Conners starts on a sour note with the news Dan won't be able to make it home for the holiday. However, Roseanne is thrilled she can afford to have the meal catered instead of spending an entire day in the kitchen. Family squabbles combined with a shocking revelation by Bev nearly ruins the evening. The family must contend with the fact that money does not necessarily buy happiness. Written by skillwithaquill

Quotes

Beverly Harris: I would like to give thanks that I am not a young child being raised by two very tasteful but nonetheless light in the loafers...
Roseanne Conner: Mom! Mom! Look around you! Nobody's talking about that anymore!
Beverly Harris: I just don't think two men should raise a child. I married a man! He was cruel to my children and cheated on me, he had horrible table manners and he made me drive an old car with bald tires! The bastard!
Roseanne Conner: Mother! Try to save a little something for Christmas!

Home Is Where the Afghan Is (#9.10)
12 May 2017 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

It is Thanksgiving. Dan can't make it but the rest of the family and Leon with Scott celebrate at Roseanne's refurnished house. they don't cook this year and have caterers. Prince also comes and him and Bev drink together. She then gets upset about Scott and Leon adopting a kid and accidentally outs herself as a lesbian.

Well finally there is a great Roseanne episode like we know and like. So much to laugh about. I loved Bev drinking with the Prince and saying that they will see who keeps up with whom.

Her talk about gays adopting leading to her outing herself as a lesbian was also unexpected and very funny!.

And it has the nice thing about money not buying happiness. Roseanne getting her old Afghan on the couch and also cook for poor people afterwards.
