Ryker thinks there is a war on the Catholic church when a priest is murdered and a nun is beaten.
A good episode. It turns out the killer has a different motive than what Ryker first thought. Florida Friebus (dotty old Mrs Bakerman on "The Bob Newhart Show") plays the nun is this one. She and two other nuns open up a storefront "convent" in a tough neighborhood. One of the funnier scenes are two nuns asking for donations in front of a brothel! Johnny Brown ("Laugh-In" and later Bookman on "Good Times") plays a police informer named "Huggy Bear" (this name was later taken on "Starsky And Hutch". DVD note: before the episode starts, there is a warning about this being the best possible version of this episode. This appears to be a syndicated version of it, with some scenes cut, possibly because of the violence. I recall seeing this episode on first run and there was a scene where the priest is shown being shot but this is cut out on the DVD.
