Trivia

During the film shot in Korea John wears a cap with long flaps to cover most of his head and face. This was necessary to cover his facial hair that would have been perfectly normal for a civilian in the 1970s but inappropriate for a serviceman during the Korean War. See more »

The establishment shot of the SEA-TAC airport, showing the digital clock in front of the terminal with the sounds of planes landings, is a still shot, the cars in the background never move. See more »

Quotes

Jennifer Ryburn: [Jennifer holds her gun pointed at Rockford] Look, I was afraid. You kept insisting I go to L.A. and I can't do that!
Jim Rockford: You mean it doesn't get easier the second time around?
Jennifer Ryburn: What are you talking about?
Jim Rockford: Birrell didn't kill Ricky, you did.
Jennifer Ryburn: That's not true!
Jim Rockford: Ballistics will run a check on that thing. We'll see if it's the murder weapon.
Jennifer Ryburn: It was an accident... I didn't mean to murder him. I was trying to frighten him. He was seeing someone else. He was going to leave me. He *used* people.
Jim Rockford: Oh, and you ...

The Godfather is interested
10 November 2014 | by See all my reviews

An old Korean war buddy is the Jim Rockford client in this episode of The Rockford Files. Hector Elizondo is a fashion photographer and he is convinced that a model he's got a thing for played by Pamela Hensley did not die in a car crash as reported to and by the LAPD.

Hensley is a person of interest that the cops would like to question in a murder of her boyfriend. The boyfriend was a connected mobster and there's a sinister godfather type figure in the background played by Thayer David who can be the last word in sinister.

There's also a nice bit in this story from Ken Swofford who plays a Rockford type PI in Seattle. It's where the trail for Pamela Hensley ends.

Can't tell too much more here except that Pamela Hensley is the girl in every man's nightmare.
