The Seneca are referred to as "the best high steel workers in the world". All five of the original Iroquois Nations in the Confederacy are remarkably skilled at high steel work (Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Mohawk). Usually, only the Mohawk are credited, so, interestingly, the Seneca are credited. (This was also a plot point just 2 months prior in The Energy Eater (1974).
When Jim first meets Sorel, she quotes a lyric from an old song and says it was originally performed by Rudy Vallee. Rudi Gernreich was a clothing designer who became ()famous (?) in the mid-60s for his monokini, a topless bikini.
David Spielberg reprises his role of Sgt. Garvey, who Rockford had met on "Charlie Harris at Large". They didn't exactly hit it off, but now suddenly they're old friends. Apparently, Spielberg had stood in for Joe Santos on this episode.
This is the first episode to use a 1975 Firebird, as can be most easily seen by the different rear window and front turn signals compared to 1974 models. Despite Jim needing to get a loaner from a body shop after his car is wrecked (which would seem a logical point to switch model years), the Firebird in this episode is already a 1975 before it is crashed (although in the crash scene, the car switches to a 1974 after it leaves the road and crashes down the hill).
Since no Firebird appeared in the season one finale the following week, this is the only episode of the first season to use a 1975 Firebird.
