Storyline

Rocky is targeted for death after seeing a meeting between a truck dispatcher and a crooked executive. Jim wants desperately to protect his father but discovers he hasn't been keeping up with Rocky enough to even find him on a typical day. Goofs

The truck with the license number 35 662M is hijacked more than once, first by the guys in the red Cadillac convertible, and later by the silver Ford Elite. The truck hijacked right before Jim finds Lo Salvo's body has the same stickers behind the driver's door, the same wear marks on the logo on the door, and the same loose vent on the front. Rocky has some secrets
6 May 2015 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

In this first part of a two part story we discover that Rocky has some he's been keeping from his offspring. First off he has a girlfriend in Rosemary DeCamp who works on the docks for a trucking company. The second is that Rocky has been getting some off the books work part time in his old profession to supplement his retirement.

It's that second thing, he happens to see a meeting of two people that he shouldn't see. After that Noah Beery, Jr.'s life is in danger as there are many attempts to kill him which of course brings his son in on the case. James Garner at one point gets a nasty beat down from a couple of hoods who are trying to find Beery.

The end has Jim Rockford sacrificing something near and dear to him.
