Not a crime tale here, but rather a comedy. Claude Akins plays a tough guy who seems to be a widower and father of a boy. One day, she has the visit of his mother in law who talks to him about the tough man's son. A kid who doesn't seem to know his old man. The meeting between the two of them is touching without being funny. Nothing noir here, I warn you. The hard guys doesn't tell anything to his boy about himself, as a gangster; nor he does to the school chairman. The most of this story is about the relationship between Akins and his son, and that's enough to entertain you, no matter the usual recurrent leads and burlesque sequences, as we watch for every episode. Only the end keeps some action scenes for the audience. Directed by Sydney Salkow, a movie film maker specialized in westerns and adventure features.
