A case of Mistaken Identity...(Only slight spoilers)

I am not overly familiar with 'Road to Avonlea' the series, only the three 'Anne of Green Gables Films'. I looked into this episode because of it's guest star Robby Benson.

I found the episode very amusing and enjoyed all the confusion by Avonlea's residents. It's in the spirit of screwball comedy that the fun starts when Handsome Jonathan Ravenhurst Blackwell (Heir to a big fortune) Goes missing from his snobby, pushy Aunt Edith. Suddenly Gerald Young appears, an expert appraiser and lover of antiques. He declines to give Sara Stanley an interview, then mass confusion ensues between other characters and their so-called precious heirlooms. Of course, foul play is suspected as well. Soon everyone is after 'Gerald Young' and the only person who can help him is Sara.

Along the way, Sara learns an important lesson from Gerald. He helps her to accept her place as an heiress, and everything is seemingly resolved with the quick wit of a Sherlock Holmes like Detective, 'Doyle E. Reichenbach' Or is it??

This episode was made very fun by the over the top performances of the talented Robby Benson as Jonathan and Diana Rigg as stuffy Aunt Edith. The episode ends with a promise that 'Gerald Young' may return...to take Sara to dinner.
