Storyline

Mario Rosati arrives in North Fork and goes to the McCain ranch where he claims that he and Lucas have a mutual friend from when Lucas lived in the Oklahoma territory. Lucas and Mark welcome him and offer him a place to stay for a few days. What they don't realize is that Rosati is a killer hired by Ralph Hayden who Lucas shot and crippled many years before. The assassin takes a liking to the McCains and delays his assignment for a few days. Written by garykmcd

The beginning of this show ruined the experience,
29 March 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The biggest thing wrong with the episode happens right at the beginning when a rough gangster looking man hires a slick looking Mexican man, Mario Rosati, to kill the one person that he cannot stand in life. It just happens to be Lucas McCain. And because he hates Lucas so bad he just so happens to have a studio publicity shot of smiling Chuck Connors on his wall. This was such a daffy picture, for the serious subject matter, that I literally laughed out loud. Who in the world has a extra large frame smiling picture of their enemy hanging on the wall? From that moment, the rest of the episode lost all interest.

Mario arrives at the McCain ranch while Lucas and Mark are out fixing the fence. When Lucas and Mark arrive home they find Mario pilfering through their belongs only to welcome the new visitor when Mario says he is a friend of a friend that Lucas knows.

The rest of the episode concerning Mark's relationship with the new friend and the distaste that Mario now has for his job. This may have been a nice story but the laughable beginning of the episode made the viewing of the rest of the show nearly impossible. As another viewer stated, this could have been better.
