Lucas had quite a good time at the barn dance the night before with Micah blaming him for a funny practical joke. When Micah locks him in a cell, Lucas thinks it's just friendly payback for the joke but Micah tells him the real reason: Lucas' one true enemy, Reef Jackson, is coming to town. Years before, Jackson shot Lucas in the back and tried to take his wife away from him. He's sworn revenge ever since. Meanwhile, Mark has gone hunting for a large elk that appears every year and that he's always dreamed of bagging. When Lucas and Mark confront their foes, they realize they are not quite what they expected. Written by garykmcd

User Reviews

A very unique script for the series.
29 September 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In this unique script from a Rifleman series, we have Lucas and Mark facing situation which are very different but yet the same. And each will find they are more like each other than anyone thought.

Mark's situation involves a large deer that is named Old Spike. Each year the deer comes around and teases Mark by letting him get close. This is the year that Mark is going to finally kill the deer and fulfill his dream. He begins the hunt.

Lucas has word that Reef Jackson is in North Fork. It seems that Reef shot Lucas in the back many years ago because Reef wanted Lucas's wife. Lucas has been seeking revenge on Reef the moment he finds him. Lucas begins the hunt.

This is an interesting tell where each will learn a bit about themselves. And we, as the viewer, will be along for the ride as each faces situations they have been waiting for for years. Will they be able to follow up on a goal each has set.

A very interesting script.
