On one of her freelance window dressing jobs, Rhoda is approached by NHL goalie Vic Rhodes, who she is attracted to and who asks her out. Her flat refusal to his invitation makes Rhoda realize that she feels like she is in romantic limbo with Joe. Although they have both said "I love you" to the other, there has been no mention of commitment. After deliberating about the issue, Rhoda decides to take the direct approach and broach the subject with Joe. His proposal: that they live together. Rhoda discusses what to do with Brenda, the major negative against going through with it being her parents, especially her mother. What Rhoda ends up deciding to do, regardless of her parents, is a manifestation of what is in her heart. Written by
