Midway through the second season of "The Restless Gun", the writers give us a romantic interest story. Perhaps the viewers wanted an explanation of why the handsome leading man on this show remains single.
Unfortunately, "The Lady and the Gun" is a flop. When Vint Bonner meets Myra Barker (actress Mala Powers), his giddiness comes across as silly. There isn't any chemistry between Vint and Myra; the romance scenes are forced and artificial.
The writers did succeed in explaining why Vint Bonner is perpetually single, but that's the only take-away from "The Lady and the Gun".
I rated the entire series 10 stars, but the best I can do for this episode is 6 stars.
