When Tommy and Lou were talking after Tommy took his lumps for his "widow banging", Lou says, "Birth, school, work, death." This was actually the working name of a stand-up act Leary was working on as a follow up to "No Cure For Cancer" which morphed into "Lock n Load"
In the scene where the guys celebrate by drinking in a bar, the cast were drinking real alcohol. Michael Lombardi got particularly happy filming the scene! Fortunately for director Peter Tolan, he was not required to do much in the scene except look happy.
Lou's wife asking him for a divorce largely came about because Siobhan Fallon Hogan, who played the character, quit the show, finding it a little too unsavory for her tastes.
The fat dead lady depicted in this episode is not really that big. It's an actress in a fat suit.
